Whats happening in room 13

As part of our writing we are trying to plan extensively and add detail to our writing. Rm 13 used play dough to construct something of their choice. At each step they had to record what they had done, how they made it and any reasons for their techniques. 

Studyladder is a great tool to engage students with interactive tasks. Room 13 use this to build their basic fact knowledge in maths and reinforce strategies. We will also be using as part of our reading programme enforcing sounds, patterns , chunks in words and comprehending what we read 

In maths we are using place value to help adding 2 and 3 digit numbers. These tools allow the children to see how they move the place value when they make a 10, 100.
